Subheading Placement

The heading is transparent with white lines around, making it still be seen. The white lines are like neon lights found above cafes and city buildings in urban areas, relating to what we are looking to achieve. The size of it is also good, as it stands out and will show the reader that she is the main part of our magazine. The downside to this however is the font, which may not be in our final piece as it does not fit the modern, urban concept that we want.

We have decided to change the font of our text so that it stands out more and attracts the reader. Using the website dafont.com, we were able to locate technological-looking fonts so that we could get a clean but urban look to our magazine's subheading. We will keep the design of the white outline, as this will make it stand out compared to the white and black house style that we have gone with.

The magazine cover that includes ice cube stands out greatly, and what I think is most effective here is the bit above the subheading, which says 'black power'. this is red and contrasts with the white and black scheme throughout the page. We have decided to replicate this in our magazine as it will allow us to emphasise the impact of which our created artist will have on our audience and the music magazine. As we are putting 'girl power' we are matching the colour of her lipstick, which relates well and provides a unique contrast with the background and chosen writing. The screenshot below is our replication of it.
