Barcode


Due to the positioning of our subheading, we have decided to put the barcode on it's side, as this will enable to subheading to stand out and not take up space that we want to use. Even though it is quite big, this is essential to making the magazine look marketable and able to be sold within any shop. We were initially thinking about putting it next to our masthead, but after looking it and previewing the design we have decided to put it down by the subheading. This addition makes the front cover look professional and able to be sold in a shop or newsagents.


We have also placed the price above the barcode, so that the audience will know how much it is and what they have to pay. From our research, the price is like other high end music magazines, giving our magazine the ability to compete with them so we can gain a wider readership as well as better feautres for our magazine.
